Message from LGFA regarding registrations

As we’re approaching the busiest time for registrations, I want to make you aware of a few issues we’ve been experiencing and if you haven’t already logged into the system you then you need to be aware of these as they could easily affect you.

1.       There has been one significant issue and this is down to cards being used to make payment, banks are refusing these payments and I’ve outlined below what needs to be done if you want to continue to use your card.

2.       Another one is if you did transfer to PayPal from your bank account last year, just be aware that the IBAN has changed and please follow the steps below to get your clubs PayPal IBAN.

If you’re using a card to pay this payment, you need to contact both your bank and PayPal to ensure your card is not being flagged in their systems, as there has been increased security checks put on cards by the bank and it causing some clubs awful trouble.

This is due to how the payment is split when it hits the bank, it goes to the following 6 different parties, Registration, Injury Fund, Development, County Board, Provincial Council & Servasport, please notify the bank of this and ask them to lift the security to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

You’ll also need to speak to PayPal and the number is 1800 944 575, to ensure there’s no issue with them as well but more than likely, this is an issue with your bank and the card you are using.

If you have had a payment reversed on your credit card it will return to your account within 3-5 working days.

To try and get around this, the easiest thing would be to eliminate the card and use PayPal as a bank and transfer funds from your club account into your PayPal account and to retrieve your PayPal IBAN, you follow the steps below

1.       Log into PayPal

2.       Click on Balance

3.       Click on “Add Money”

4.       Your club PayPal IBAN will appear

Or

1.       Log into PayPal

2.       Click on Balance

3.       It might say Transfer Fund

4.       Click on that, then a screen pops up

5.       Click into from and chose “ Your bank manually”

6.       Then hit continue

7.       Your club PayPal IBAN will appear

You would bring this IBAN to the bank and transfer the funds into your PayPal account and you would have a balance in your PayPal account, cutting out all these issues with the card.

If there’s anything I can help you with, please let me know, you can either email me or call me on the details below.

Kind Regards

Maire
